The LTA is launching a new service to support LTA Registered Venues in significantly reducing their running costs and helping your club to access the best value services from a broad range of approved suppliers. The LTA Buying Group is completely free, and is another excellent benefit of LTA Venue Registration.
The LTA are working in partnership with GMG, specialists in establishing buying-groups within the sports sector, to harness the collective purchasing power of the 2,750 LTA Registered Venues to leverage significant discounts across a wide range of goods and services that are used by tennis clubs. Our aim with GMG is to help your club access high quality services at a reduced price, assisting the financial sustainability of our network of tennis clubs across Britain.
We know that many tennis clubs are under significant financial pressure, and rather than always trying to generate new revenues, this service looks at ways of easing some of your financial outgoings at no cost to yourself. GMG have saved grassroots community sports clubs thousands of pounds through their buying group services, and we are working with them to deliver similar cost-savings to tennis clubs.
Your club will be able to access GMG’s network of specialists, who will benchmark your core areas of expenditure against their negotiated rates from their network of approved suppliers providing details of any savings the club could make. GMG will then assist your club in identifying the savings your club wishes to realise and support you in making this happen.
Your club will also be able to access the LTA Buying Group Contracts Manager, which is an easy to use online management tool designed to manage all your service and utility contracts.

There is no cost or obligation to use the LTA Buying Group, and there is no obligation to take up any of the recommendations that LTA Buying Group identify for your club. However it is worth noting that LTA Buying Group’s purchasing power is very much dependent on the proactive engagement in the service from our network of clubs; the greater uptake that the LTA Buying Group receives from clubs increases the leverage when negotiating rates for the whole network.
The process will involve a totally confidential benchmarking exercise in agreed areas of expenditure with a LTA Buying Group specialist from which a savings report will be presented with an opportunity to answer any questions that may arise throughout the process. LTA Buying Group will also provide training and access to Contracts-Manager and assist with registration and loading of contracts.
